Ghost Analog/Digital is a true 110 ohm AES/EBU cable with an XLR female on one end and an XLR male on the other. The matte dark purple jacket makes it easy to spot in a crowded loom. Hand-soldered and individually tested in our Los Angeles shop.
Why a True 110 Ohm Cable Matters
AES/EBU is specified at 110 ohms. Run it down a standard mic cable and the impedance mismatch causes reflections, which show up as jitter and, on long runs, as dropouts.
A Brighter Analog Cable
It is fully balanced, so it works on analog runs too. There it has a subtle lift in the high frequencies and sounds a little brighter than Ghost Analog. Use it anywhere you want that extra top end.
Signal Flow
Ghost cable is directional. Signal runs from Side A to Side B, the way the arrow on the cable points. Side A is the XLR female end, at the source. Side B is the XLR male end, at the input.
