Ghost Cable Is Directional: How to Connect Side A and Side B

GHOST heat shrink with an arrow showing signal flow from Side A to Side B

Every Ghost cable is directional. Signal runs from Side A, the source, to Side B, the destination. Here is how to tell which end is which.

Follow the Arrow

Each end of a Ghost cable has black heat shrink printed with GHOST and an arrow. The arrow points the way the signal travels, away from the source and toward the destination.

XLR Cables

On an XLR cable the female end is always Side A. It plugs into the microphone or the output of your gear. The male end is Side B and goes into the input.

Instrument Cables

Side A goes in the guitar. If your cable has a silentPLUG, it is always on Side A, so you can unplug the guitar without a pop through the amp.

TRS to TRS Cables

Both ends look the same, so follow the arrow. Plug the end the arrow points away from into the output, and the end it points toward into the input.
